Rigel Apps ("we", "us", or "our") operates the ReSpeak mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our App.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following types of information:
- Account Information: We use Firebase Anonymous Authentication to create a unique user ID for you. We do not collect your name, email address, or other personal identifiers during sign-up.
- Usage Data: We collect information about how you use the App, including exercises completed, progress data, and preferences (language, difficulty level, daily goals).
- User-Generated Content: Text you paste or type to create custom exercises.
- Purchase Information: If you subscribe or make in-app purchases, payment processing is handled by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) through RevenueCat. We do not store your payment details.
- Audio Data: The App generates text-to-speech audio for exercises. We do not record or store your voice.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and maintain the App's core functionality
- To track your exercise progress and daily goals
- To generate AI-powered text and audio for exercises
- To manage your subscription and credit balance
- To improve the App and fix issues
3. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore and Cloud Storage). We implement appropriate security measures to protect your information, including Firestore security rules that ensure users can only access their own data.
4. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- Google Firebase — authentication, data storage, cloud functions, analytics
- Google Gemini AI — text generation and improvement
- RevenueCat — subscription and purchase management
Each of these services has its own privacy policy governing their handling of your data.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share anonymized, aggregated data for analytics purposes.
6. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us so we can remove it.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your account and associated data
- Opt out of analytics collection
8. Account Deletion
You can request complete deletion of your account and all associated data. To do so:
Send an email to support@rigelapps.com with the subject line "Account Deletion Request" and include your User ID in the email body.
You can find your User ID in the Profile screen of the App.
Upon receiving your request, we will delete your account and all associated data (exercises, progress, purchase records) within 30 days. This action is irreversible.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
